化合物基于PBT，其中一種主要的線型聚酯是常用的模具（PET是另一種），通過對(duì)苯二甲酸和丁二醇的縮聚獲得。 由于PBT的許多性能與PA（6和66）相似，所以三種樹脂通常共享相同的市場。 但是，這三種聚合物之間也存在許多差異。
