Hepla? PA46 is a kind of aliphatic polyamide poly-condensed from butanediamine and adipic acid. Similar to the molecular structure of nylon 66 though, there are more amide groups on each length-given amide chain on Hepla? PA46 and the chain structure is more symmetrical. The highly symmetrical chain makes crystallinity higher (about 70%) and crystallization faster. Therefore, the melting point is higher (295℃), and the thermal deformation temperature higher too. The long-term use temperature (CUT, 5000hours) can reach 163℃. As a result, Hepla? PA46 enjoys better resistance to heat, and better mechanical strength and abrasion resistance under high temperature, compared with other engineered plastics such as PA6, PA66 and polyester. What’s, more, its molding cycle is short, and processing more economical.
